Rik Haynes began his video games journalism career as Staff Writer for the weekly New Computer Express magazine at Future Publishing in Bath (1988 to 1989). He was Deputy Editor of ACE Magazine at EMAP Images in London (1989 to 1990) before joining LOGIN Magazine - published by ASCII Corporation/Enterbrain, Inc. in Tokyo, Japan - as the European Editor (1990 to 2009). His freelance journalist work from 1988 to 2011 was regularly published in a wide variety of popular consumer and B2B trade gaming magazines and websites in the UK, USA and Japan such as Edge, EGM, Famitsu.com, Famitsu Xbox 360, GamePro, MCV, Nintendo Zone, PC Format, PC Review, Sega Zone and Weekly Famitsu. Rik Haynes is now the Online Marketing, PR and Copywriter at Solopress (2011 to present day), an online commercial printers based in Southend-on-Sea, Essex.
