Sega Pro Issue 1 Sega Pro Issue 1 Master System Les Ellis 83% When it comes to golf games, there is no worthy challenger.
Sega Force Issue 1 Sega Force Issue 1 Master System Ian Osborne 79% For all its faults, World Class Leaderboard is fun to play, especially with a friend, and is one of the few games computer-hating parents might enjoy. Tighter presentation and a faster running speed would have made it an essential purchase.
Sega Force Issue 1 Sega Force Issue 1 Game Gear Ian Osborne 79% The game plays identically to the MS version with the single exception of speed: the courses are drawn slightly faster which definitely improves playability.
Mega Action Issue 1 Mega Action Issue 1 Mega Drive Uncredited 80% Sitting quietly in the shadow of the PGA series, this offering suffers in comparison. Nice to look at but playability lacks somewhat. Perhaps for the Golf fanatic only.
Sega Zone Issue 1 Sega Zone Issue 1 Mega Drive David McCandless 65% The holes (although cleverly designed) don't undulate, and putting is a nightmare, with just the shadow of a stick hinting at the contour of the green. None of the frills which make PGA gameplay more appealing are here - no reverse views, contour marked greens or choice of different shots. The balls bounce too much and you can't turn off the hurricane force wind. Because the old dial method is so finicky, a slightly mis-timed button press means a shot a in completely the wrong direction. Playing a chum of an afternoon might be a laugh but, all in all, World Class Leaderboard doesn't give you enough of that golfy 'feel'.
