Other Detals

Game Title Grap- hics Game- play Access-ibility Depth Verdict Summary
Max Payne 8 9 8 8 9 Brutal, brooding and impossible to put down. Buy it. Play it. Love it.
Mad Dash Racing - - - - 6 Slick-as-you-like speed thrills but comedy bananas and a flatulent warthog called Chops do not a lasting race game make.
Championship Manager: Season 01/02 2 9 6 10 9 Not one for footie haters. Arguably the most addictive game ever.
TransWorld Surf - - - - 7 Bold, fun and well worth a gander. Nice to see an extreme sports game without a roman numeral. Yet.
Rallisport Challenge 8 8 9 7 8 Despite the unofficial vibe, it holds its pwn. Colin McRae 3-your move.
Knockout Kings 2002 - - - - 6 It might please the mainstream, but Knockout Kings will certainly leave fans of the series a touch cold.
Star Wars: Obi-Wan 4 5 6 4 5 Has its moments, but then so did The Phantom Menace.
NHL Hitz 20-02 - - - - 6 In terms of replicating ice hockey this is impressive. But, as an experience, NHL Hitz leaves you feeling strangely unfulfilled.
Blood Wake - - - - 6 Not the most earth-shattering game, but technically accomplished and fun. Just tackle it in limited doses, that's all.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 7 9 7 9 8 Criminally addictive, relentless thrills but not truly radical.
Genma Onimusha 8 9 9 7 8 Brutal, compelling and shockingly fun. Shame it's over so quickly.
Jet Set Radio Future 10 8 7 8 9 Surpasses even the original for sheer style and playability. Remarkable.
Batman: Vengeance - - - - 5 The coders should have been hunted down by the real Batman and banged up mid-development for crimes against games.
Dark Summit - - - - 5 Dark Summit starts out with noble intentions, but it's downhill (slowly) for the rest of the way.
Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 - - - - 5 Whether you dig extreme sports or not buy Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 instead. If you can afford both, just buy Tony Hawk's 3.
Shrek - - - - 4 Boring and unrewarding platform pokery. Those without standards might like it. The rest... what do you reckon?
Test Drive Off-Road: Wide Open - - - - 1 Putting this into your Xbox would be more disrepectful than trying to ram raid Westminster Abbey in a Lada.
Wreckless: The Yakuza Missions 10 6 7 2 6 A fantastic demo of the Xbox graphics processor but not much else.
Nightcaster - - - - 6 Decent enough. Incurable fantasy fans would be advised to try it. A more engaging story line would have made it a seven.
NFL 2K2 - - - - 7 The easiest of the three American football titles to pick up, yet NFL 2K2 is the most frustrating to master. And the name's daft.
Azurik: Rise of Perathia - - - - 4 A-ra-ra kibatoo is now the bench mark for all arcade adventure games wanting to surpass the blatantly average post. Ignore.
